An assessment is required for everyone who has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease to participate in PWP's exercise classes. You'll spend about 50 minutes with our kinesiologist going over a brief medical history; you'll discuss what symptoms of Parkinson's are bothering you; and you'll perform a few objective tests in the gym. The purpose of the assessment is to determine what level you are so that you can participate in the appropriate exercise classes to get the most benefits: help slow the progression of the disease, maintain mobility and improve your quality of life. You'll also receive resources that we might recommend depending on your needs and the discussion with the kinesiologist.
